In the lab, and at the beach

Yesterday morning, my roommate (Megan) and I went into the anatomy lab to go over what we had learned for the week. The great thing about being at St. Georges is that coming out of the anatomy lab, you can walk down a long driveway, and you're at the black sand beach.
The water is indescribably warm, and so buoyant. Being the good medical students that we are after a quick dip in the caribbean sea, our discussion quickly turned back to our studies.
Below is a picture of me working hard on the beach (it can be done).

Today I had to go into Grand Anse where the shopping centre, bank, and other places of necessity are. Ten days prior, I was told I could pick up my bank card today, but of course, when I arrived at their bank, they still did not have it. This is very typical of everything around here. There was no bread at the supermarket, but I did get a good deal on turkey. I also wonder how it is that milk is sold outside of the cold section, next to the rice. The expiry date says Jan. 2006 - what is this milk made from? Anyways, there are always plenty of mangos and plantains, so if worse comes to worse....

Truly I am, this is just my 'Sunday Treat', plus it would be shameful if I came home as white as I left!
