Another day, another island

This weekend we spent a day on St. Vincent’s apartment hunting for our 5th semester in January 2007. Because we were one of the earlier students to do so, we got our pick of the bunch. St. Vincent’s is a very beautiful island, with much more lush foliage and greenery than Grenada – unfortunately you can’t beat Grenada’s beaches. We ended up finding a very nice two bedroom apartment (each with our own big bathroom) a 5 minute walk from the campus. I’m very excited about the balcony too – its huge, and the view is great (we can see the ocean). It will also be good for some early morning yoga…..
It was our friend’s birthday this past weekend, so I made another cake – I was particularly proud of this one (you would be too considering the tools I have to work with!). So without further ado, here is a pictorial review of my weekend.

This pic of Julie and I is of St. Vincent's in the background (we are on a small beach island across from Vinnies.

I thought this fish was particularly ugly.... and really big too....but mostly ugly.

Here is the beautiful birthday cake - so what if it's for a guy - who doesn't like flowers anyways? (Those are lemon peel flowers in case you were wondering). Ziploc makes some pretty crappy piping bags (I broke three of them) - maybe that's why it says "sandwich bags" on the box....anyways, I was going to post some really nasty pictures from my parasitoloty class, but I didn't particularly feel like looking at worms and anuses again....

Who can resist yet another beautiful caribbean sunset.......ahhhhhhhh
